Amidst the pandemic, the Upper East Side has fared relatively well and has seen an increasing number of transactions in recent months. Contract activity in Q4 2020 through December 15th is up 15% from the same period a year ago, even with Q3 through September 15th, and up 142% from all of Q2 as reduced pricing enticed new buyers. In particular, larger homes have seen demand as four bedrooms and above saw 115% more contracts signed in the second half of 2020 vs the first half.
